Host, St Ives
Conveniently located in the centre of St Ives, this stunning 5-star hotel was the labour of love for owners, and hoteliers, Victoria and Rassie. Transforming a former bank into this stylish lodging was no mean feat. Oozing Cornish charm, the stonework building underwent a large-scale renovation, completely re-designing the layout and repurposing this impressive property.

Catchpole & Rye were privileged to be part of this seven bedroom luxury beach property in Sydney’s Palm Beach. The interior architecture embraces the influences of Italian design and Australian lifestyle. A variety of Catchpole and Rye products were chosen to help create a luxurious and relaxed ambience throughout.
The Cloth Hall
Situated in the picturesque village of Smarden in Kent, lies The Cloth Hall, a Grade II listed property with exquisite design features. Grand in stature and steeped in heritage, it was built in the 15th century and meticulously restored in recent years. Every element was carefully curated to balance the building’s Tudor legacy and the requirement for modern functionality.
Medieval Manor House, Somerset
Beautifully displaying the building's unique character with a seamless blend of modern elegance and historical charm, this stunning Master Ensuite in a 13th Century Hall masterfully combines contemporary fixtures with timeless elements. The space is anchored by our striking Copper Bateau, which adds a luxurious, vintage touch to the room, while the exquisite Balfour Marble washstand serves as a sophisticated focal point, balancing both the old-world allure of the building and the sleek lines of modern design.
The Cornish Bank
When the old Cornish Bank premises at St Columb Major became redundant in May 2017 it looked set to sit idle like so many similar premises. That was until Richard Balding and his wife Sarah came along with a vision for something special! What followed was an extensive restoration project ultimately transforming the disused commercial building into an extraordinary family home.
Kentish Hall House, Biddenden
Nestled in the heart of Kent, 18th-century Hall House was in need of a bathroom that would be sympathetic to the age and atmosphere of this grand property. The house has been added to over the centuries and has lots of nooks and crannies that are full of character, presenting the challenge of how to create a functional bathroom in quite a small space – without it feeling cramped, and without imposing on the period feel.
Kenyan Retreat
The prestigious Arijiju Retreat is a private five-star spa and sanctuary, located in the Borana Conservatory on the Laikipia Plateau. The interiors were designed by Maira Koutsoutakis, with a mixture of African influences and earthy tones, as well as combining a touch of European decadence. Bedrooms feature Catchpole and Rye’s unmistakable Copper Bateau baths, as well as many of our other luxurious products.
Rue Dauphine
Set in the heart of Paris, just a stroll from one of the city’s most famous bridges Le Pont Neuf, this restoration of a character Parisian apartment incorporated one our most eye-catching products, The Sentinel shower. The property is situated on Rue Dauphine in the 6th arrondissement of Paris in a four-story town house. The 17c property featured two bathrooms, a Master En Suite and Guest W/C and Catchpole & Rye were asked to provide impactful sanitary ware to this bijou apartment.
The Artist Residence – London
Catchpole & Rye had the distinct privilege of collaborating on an exceptional project – a stunning 10-bedroom residence located in the heart of London’s tranquil Pimlico neighborhood. The project demanded the inclusion of luxury bathroom pieces that would seamlessly complement the rustic-luxe interior design of the residence, which sought to blend modern sophistication with natural, warm elements.
St Johns Wood
Beautifully presented, this late Victorian Semi in West London has been impeccably designed with superb attention to detail. The brief was to achieve a balance between modern functionality and a design that was sympathetic to age and charm of the property. The Master En Suite features La Parisienne Vanity and Le Bateau Foix painted in Farrow & Ball Pale Powder and Wimborne White. To maintain a consistency of mood and design the Family Bathroom and Cloakroom were completed using product from the same range.
Jersey – Private Residence
The design brief was that it had to be traditional, with each room having its own theme. Being Scottish, the owner wanted a tartan room to blend in with a lot of purple ( her favourite colour) together with bold black and whites. The downstairs suite is a striking example of this. For the bathrooms and ensuites, Catchpole & Ryes’ selection of exquisite pieces were a perfect blend between tradition and style
Beggar Hill
When Minet and Andre Dannhauser found their idyllic Edwardian home set amid mature beech woodland in rural Essex they set about the renovation with great enthusiasm. As is the case with most period properties their initial work revealed more fundamental issues and what started out as a year-long project turned into a three-year saga!
The Great House
This stunning island home situated on the West coast of Barbados was designed by Spring Concepts, a Swiss Interior Designers. The bright airy rooms are a cool contrast to the Caribbean sun and this feeling flows beautifully through the entire interior. The bathrooms feature a combination of our products but most prominent are the Pyford Washstands in Arabescato Marble and our Empress Basins in double and console variants

Located deep in the South African countryside, this luxurious, private residence was built against the backdrop of the dramatic Franschhoek Mountains. Catchpole & Rye, together with the client, worked meticulously to create a number of luxurious bathrooms. The alcove in the master ensuite was created specifically to frame the magnificent La Cage D’Amour. Outside in the courtyard, a single La Cage in Aged Brass is set against a breathtaking, mountainous backdrop.
Turkish Villa
Built in 1880 for a wealthy Maronite Christian Merchant, this splendid Turkish Ottoman building was the former Italian Embassy. The ambassador added Italian influences, transforming the building into a small Palazzo. The client, who studied history of art and has a passion for restoring historical buildings, first came to Catchpole & Rye, inspired by our La Cage shower and association with designing classical pieces. Taking two years to complete, it now serves as an atmospheric and colourful home for its new owner.

Green Bank House
It takes countless hours to work out the geometry on a project like this. Achieving symmetry and balance with such breath-taking marble requires serious planning and forethought. The Master Bathroom at Green Bank House uses quite a narrow palette to achieve a very dramatic outcome. Featuring our Nickel Bateau with Charcoal Exterior & Polished Interior, The Deluge Low level Cistern Ensemble, The Original Ladder Towel Rail, Le Fontaine Bath Shower Mixer on Standpipes, Le Thermo Grande and Le Fontaine Three Hole Basin Mixer.
Coombe House
Set in the picturesque Cotswolds this charming character property, presented a challenge that many homeowners face – what to do with the loft space! In many cases Building Control precludes attics from being used as bedrooms so the logical step is to utilise this area as the Family Bathroom. The combination of low ceilings, sloping walls, nooks and crannies commonly found in listed buildings, add to the design challenge.
Sauvages de la Mer Pacifique
Dramatic design takes huge courage. There is no hiding place. When it goes wrong the results are there for all to see. But when it is executed perfectly the rewards are incredible. Choosing to marry vibrant De Gournay “Les Sauvages” wall covering with classic Catchpole & Rye fittings has produced the most spectacular outcome. The paper features a fictional setting of First Nations people on a Pacific Island.
Balfour Castle
Catchpole & Rye were commissioned to provide a range of exquisite antique canopy baths, along with other high-quality bathware and sanitary ware, for the restoration and enhancement of Balfour Castle, located on the picturesque Orkney Islands. Known for its rich history and stunning architecture, Balfour Castle was in need of period-appropriate bathroom fittings that would preserve its historic charm while offering modern functionality.
