The Bateau style of bath is named after the French word for Boat, due to the curved shape of the bath which resembles that of a sailing boat. These roll tops baths are designed for comfort and relaxation.

With an unparalleled patina, the Copper Bateau bath exudes a warming glow. Reminiscent of a time past when one bathed in front of fires, copper baths had to be light, so that they could be easily carried from room to room.

Made entirely from high gauge copper, our copper baths are hand beaten, polished and then sealed, giving each bath a unique hand finished look.

Sumptuous Copper Bathing.

A number of different interior and exterior finishes are availble on our Copper baths at no extra cost. All Copper Baths have a hard wearing compound that is applied, which helps maintain the baths interior and exterior finishes. This ensures that the baths retain their respective finishes against the rigours of daily use.

Baths should only be cleaned with a mild bathroom cleaner and lightly wiped with a cloth.

Available in three standard lengths; 1500mm, 1700mm or 2000mm, although bespoke sizes and designs can be offered. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Prices from £5,000 & vat. Please note that the C&R bath waste and overflow pipe is NOT included and will need to be ordered separately.

Copper baths generally have a lead time of between 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the finish required, however we will always do our best to deliver the bath within your given timeframe.

The Copper Bateau comes with a Catchpole and Rye name plaque on its plinth as standard. If you would prefer not to have this, please contact us at the time of ordering.

Antique Copper Exterior

The Antique Copper finish shares the same matt quality effect as brushed copper, but with a deeper more leathery tone.

With an understated sheen, the brushed copper finish has an even matt appearance.

Charcoal Exterior

Our charcoal finish is an exclusive creation, which provides a consistent chalky matt appearance. It offers a bold contrast to the interior finish.

Copper Exterior

The true original, this bath is made entirely of copper and highly polished both inside and out for a gleaming finish.

Painted Exterior - Colour of Choice

The Copper Bateau can be painted in a colour of choice, providing a contrast to the interior finish. We use paints from the Farrow & Ball range, but can match to any proprietary colour required.

Verdigris Exterior

Verdigris is a bluish-green encrustation or patina that is naturally formed on a copper base by atmospheric oxidation. Here the process has been speeded up and perfectly recreated in our workshops.
